The Environmental Protection Agency has issued regulatory workplace exposure limits for methylene chloride and two other common halogenated solvents, trichloroethylene and perchloroethylene.  Traditionally the role of OSHA, the EPA is getting directly involved in occupational health.

This presentation will discuss methylene chloride properties and uses, the new EPA rule and the regulatory framework for it, a comparison of the EPA rule with the OSHA methylene chloride regulation, the requirements of the EPA rule, and workplace monitoring considerations.
